These Super down comforter sizes - called designer kings are used in only the finest master suites due to their extra large proportions. We offer two core sizes available in two filling warmth and weight options. The Super King Size Down Comforter measures 120” x 98”, and offers extra width to prevent the issue of ‘comforter stealing’ by your partner. The Palatial King Size Down Comforter measures 118” x 114”, and offers the same width support plus the bonus of a really long foot length. The Palatial Size works really well for bed frames that do not use a footboard and you want to ‘hide’ the front of the bed from being visible.

The comforters are enveloped in a silky soft, 350 thread count cotton sateen fabric. Both sizes are filled with Hypoallergenic 600 fill power White Goose Down in two weight levels (Warm and Warmer). Select the warm if you live in the South or plan to use with a duvet cover. Select the warmer if you live in the North and do not plan to use a duvet cover. In general, adding a Designer King Duvet Cover adds warmth and weight in addition to the comforter. You can certainly use a duvet cover with the warmer option if you so desire - but we may suggest adding a duvet later on so that you can gauge the warmth/weight combination.

Care: This style comforter is commercial machine washable and dryable (Due to their size - these are the biggest comforters manufactured by DOWNLITE - you may in fact want to have a professional service wash and dry the comforter, using their commercial sized machines). We do not recommend pre-washing it; instead we suggest using it right away for maximum enjoyment (you can always add a duvet cover later on if you really want one). These comforters do not feature duvet loops.

If you wish to make or buy another duvet cover we suggest making sure that the cover size runs slightly smaller than the comforter sizes. The comforters when pulled in all 4 directions will measure in the sizes stated - however due to lofting - they will rise 2-3 inches in each dimension. It is better to have the comforter be oversized compared to the duvet cover, so that it fits snugly. Make sure the duvet cover used, measures 2 inches smaller than the stated dimensions for a perfect fit.
